■ Date of Stay: November 2015  - If you are really in need of being treated like you are at a Ritz Carlton in Costa Rica, then this is your place!

I will tell you that the photos are exactly the same, but  way better in person. Denice, the home owner, had a call with me at first to see if this was a good fit for both of us. The beach directly in front of the house is dark lava rock….not good for sun bathing but Denice explained that. And why hang out there when you can be in the amazing pool! We had 4 little ones with us ages 4-7, and the favorite sunset activity was searching for hermit crabs at sunset. they are everywhere!

The house manager Fabrice is amazing- both very tentative and on top of things, but by no means invasive. He recommended Lola’s to us- a super cool local bar/surfer spot/ fun hangout, as well as a boat tour to see Howler monkeys, crocodiles, birds and other fun wildlife. I could have watched the howler monkeys for hours!

Camille made breakfast for us every day, and dinner one night. I HIGHLY recommend both- but she made this salted caramel chocolate dessert that is about the best dessert I think I have ever tasted in YEARS!

I can go on and on- I got engaged at sunset on the balcony, and have to say that this experience just meant the world to me. But back to the important things you may want to know…

Everything is top notch. Towels are from Restoration Hardware. The wine glasses are very nice if you prefer wine- they have a wine fridge if you want to keep your red wine at the right temp.

Every small detail is considered, and you just cannot expect to find this all around ***** 5 star treatment just anywhere. We will be back, and I hope this review is helpful for you as you pick. We are so so so thankful for our amazing time. Thank you!

â–  Date of Stay: February 2015 –  SUPERBES VACANCES EN FAMILLE

Nous avons passé deux semaines dans cette superbe maison parfaitement aménagée et décorée, rien ne manque. Les chambres et les salles de bains sont parfaites. Ce furent des vacances de rêve pour toute la famille, nous étions 9. Patie et Fabrice nous ont accueilli dès notre arrivée et ont été très professionnels tout le séjour et les petits déjeuners et repas réalisés par Camille et Pascal, un enchantement pour nos papilles.

Le Costa Rica est une merveilleuse destination, la nature est belle, les gens sont adorables, la plage et la mer sont sauvages et très propres.

La vue sur la mer qu’offre la villa, ses terrasses, sa piscine transparente, son jardin, sa petite descente à la plage bien entretenue est exceptionnelle.

Tout a été parfait tout le long du séjour qui nous a paru trop court, mais nous reviendrons, nous l’espérons.

Evelyne et Jean Jacques, Bénédicte et Urvan, Cédric et Rosa, Margot, Dorian et Briag les trois enfants qui ont passé leur temps dans l’eau.

â–  Date of Stay: December 2014 –  FANTASTIC BEACH FRONT HOME WITH EXCELLENT SERVICE !

I took my family – wife, 4 kids and son-in-law – to the home for a Christmas week vacation this year. It was my first time to Costa Rica and also my first time renting a home via online booking/listing. I was somewhat nervous about what I would experience. Was the home as nice as it appeared online? Would the beach turn out to be as good as it appeared? How about the area and activities? The whole experience turned out to be beyond my expectations. The owner of the property was very easy to contact/friendly during the initial phases (payments,etc.). The home was exactly as depicted and is really gorgeous. It is well finished and well stocked with everything you could need (from towels and boogie boards to floating pads for the pool, dishes in the kitchen, board games, poker chips, etc.). The home has quite good internet (3-5 mpbs) so my family of social media addicts were able to get their fixes. The beach is really nice. It is quite rocky right in front of the home but this provides a lot of tide pools which my daughters enjoyed exploring. One of the best surf breaks is just 100 meters down the beach and we enjoyed watching expert surfers all day. Another 200 meters down the beach is a wide, sandy beach where we spent a lot of time and boogie boarded, took surfing lessons, etc. I like that the sandy beach is down a ways as the crowds are non-existent right behind the house. But you only have to walk 2-3 minutes to get to the beach. The home came with a complimentary concierge service – Patie and Fabrice. They were wonderful both before and during our stay. They were very helpful in booking us day trips to zipline, snorkel and deep sea fishing. The are both extremely attentive but not overbearing – only a phone call away. They stopped by multiple times during the trip to check in and were also available when I had questions about the property, a light bulb went out, etc. The home came with daily maid and yard service which was fantastic. Finally, Fabrice and Patie made us aware of an in-home catering service – PASCAM (stands for Pascal and Camille the French owners of the service). We scheduled 3 dinners and two lunches and to be honest I wish we had scheduled them for virtually all of the meals. The prices were reasonable compared to restaurants in Tamarindo and the food was far, far superior. It was a fantastic week, fantastic owner, wonderful concierge, great house. We hope to be back!
